About the Journal

The Solar Energy of India (SESI), established in 1978, having its Secretariat in 2nd Floor, Central Board of Irrigation and Power, Malcha Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110021, India is the Indian Section of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES).

SESI provides a window of opportunity to the potential authors to publish their research work in its journal popularly known as SESI Journal. The Volume 1, Issue 1 was published in printed form in June 1991.

SESI has decided to convert the journal into an Open Access Online Journal to enable the authors to submit the articles with ease and to enhance the reach of the journal. The first online issue will be brought out in April 2023.

The Journal will be indexed in all leading indexing services.

The broad scope of SESI Journal is to publish quality Research Papers, Review Articles, and Industrial Case Studies on

Call for Papers

Papers are invited from Academicians, Researchers, Professionals, and Field-level Technologists for the SESI Journal (Online and Open-Access). The Journal will be published quarterly in the months of January, April, July and October in every calendar year.

SESI Journal is a dedicated journal for research and review papers and case studies on solar and renewable technologies that are written clearly and well organized. All papers will be first assessed by the Managing Editor. Papers found unsuitable in terms of the overall requirements of the journal will be returned to the authors. The others will be sent for detailed review. Authors of these papers will be notified of acceptance, need for revision or rejection of the paper. It may be noted that papers once rejected cannot be resubmitted. Illustrations and other materials to be reproduced from other publications must be properly credited; it is the authors' responsibility to obtain permission for reproduction of figures, tables, etc. from published sources (copies of letters of permission should be sent to the editor).

All articles published in SESI Journal are deemed to reflect the individual views of the authors and not the official points of view of the SESI Journal.
